Commission on the Status of Women: Montage Initiative has been partner to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, organized by UN Women, for over 5 years. At each conference, Montage Initiative has hosted side and parallel events with UN Missions and NGO partners to advocate for strengthening of women’s rights. Established in 1947, the CSW is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.




Fairfield University: Montage Initiative has partnered with the Fairfield University Office of Service Learning and different academic departments in the social sciences to host events at the university. The Office of Service Learning is a community of people that stand in solidarity to work with people who are marginalized. Promoting justice is one of its chief aims through its support of a “community-based approach to education” by placing classroom concepts into real life practice. The office has facilitated service learning courses at Fairfield University, in which students directly learn in the service learning courses and as learning through internships.


Fairfield University Center for Faith and Public Life: Montage Initiative partnered with the Fairfield University Center for Faith and Public Life for numerous events hosted at Fairfield University, including the screening of the film White Rainbow, the typhoon relief fundraiser Chanting for Harmony, and the Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Conference (JUHAN). The Center for Faith and Public Life offers students an opportunity for dialogue and leadership, combined with spiritual reflections. The Center engages students in academic research, teaching, events and more. The Center advances the “Common Good by improving the social conditions” to allow for the development of well-rounded societies and individuals.


Guild for Service: Montage Initiative had the pleasure to partner with Guild for Service since its inception. Founded by Dr. Mohini Giri, the Guild for Service is an NGO whose mission is to provide women and children with better education, skills and capacity training to become self-reliant. The Guild for Service especially works to provide shelter and care for widowed women in India and Kashmir. In addition to collaborating with Montage Initiative for various events at the CSW, the Guild for Service hosted the 2016 student immersion trip to India for youth leaders of Montage Initiative and Fairfield University.





Le Menach Foundation: Montage Initiative has collaborated with Le Menach Foundation to support Montage through including widows in their conversation about women in all areas of peace making. Le Menach Foundation took part in the conversations held during the Montage Initiative Youth Leadership trip to India in 2016, events hosted at Fairfield University, and at previous UN CSW events, including the U.N. CSW parallel and side events. Le Menache Foundation works for the equal inclusion and participation of women in all areas of peace making, peace building, and good governance.


Mumbai Times Restaurant: The Mumbai Times Indian Restaurant features traditional Southern and Northern Indian cuisine, and is located in Cos Cob and in Westport, CT. The Mumbai Times Restaurant has partnered with Montage Initiative since 2012 in hosting dinner for the premier of the Traveling Art Gallery Program in Fairfield. It served dinners and meals for other special events of Montage Initiative, including the hurricane relief fundraiser, Chanting for Harmony, and the screening of White Rainbow at Fairfield University. The Mumbai Times also helped in the preparation for the student trip to India.


Permanent Mission of El Salvador: In the past, the mission has hosted side events of Montage Initiative at the UN for the Commission on the Status of Women Conference (CSW), as well as exchanged discussions on development and gender equality. The Mission of El Salvador serves as the liaison of El Salvador to the UN headquarters in New York. It supports sustainable development projects that address the needs of those who are vulnerable and in poverty through relationship building and community engagement.


Quick Center for the Arts: Montage Initiative partnered with Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts to exhibit the Montage Initiative Traveling Art Gallery (TAG) on the theme History of Woman. The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts is the major center of theater and the arts at Fairfield University, hosting theater and musical performances, dances, ballet, renowned speakers, and more.






United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC): Montage Initiative achieved ECOSOC Special Consultative Status in 2013, becoming recognized as a Non-Profit Organization (NGO) at the United Nations, and has maintained this status by supporting and working towards the Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals. As an organization affiliated with ECOSOC, Montage Initiative partakes in, not only ECOSOC, but also its subsidiary bodies, the various human rights mechanisms of the United Nations, as well as special events organized by the President of the General Assembly.









Women’s Federation for World Peace International: Montage Initiative has had the pleasure of co-sponsoring and collaborating on parallel events with Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI) at the 59 th , 60 th , and 61 st sessions of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). WFWPI’s mission aims to create an environment of peace and wellbeing for future generations and people of all races, cultures, and religious backgrounds.
